Christopher and Alexandria's Wedding at Schrammsberg Estate in Nevada City, CA.

Christopher and Alexandria's magical wedding day at Schrammsberg Estate celebrated love, music, and good vibes. Every moment, meticulously crafted to reflect the couple's unique personalities, resulted in a day that started with romance and ended with a pretty epic dance party.

The pond at Schrammsberg Estate, a wedding venue in Nevada City, CA.

The enchanting pre-ceremony moments, set to the sounds of "Lover" and "ItsAMoney" with a few select tracks from the Bridgeton soundtrack, created an intimate atmosphere. The pond is one of the beautiful elements of a wedding at Schrammsberg Estate. It’s a stunning backdrop for a ceremony and adds an organic and classic style to the day. Photo op? Absolutely. The wedding party's entrance to "Stand By Me" and Alexandria's grand entrance to "Can't Help Falling in Love" set the tone. Personal vows, ring exchange, and a lively recessional with "Come and Get Your Love" marked the ceremony's highlights.

Special Note - I created a custom extended edit of "Stand By Me" to allow enough time for the wedding party to be in position before the song ended.

During the cocktail hour, a Motown playlist featuring Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye added a touch of class. Christopher and Alexandria's grand entrance to "I'm Coming Out" by Diana Ross kicked off the dinner, where a heartfelt blessing by Grampa Bert and melodic moments inspired by Chris Stapleton created a warm ambiance.

Sincere toasts and speeches from both sets of parents, Maid of Honor, and Best Man added a personal touch. The cake-cutting was accompanied by the soulful "Beyond" by Leon Bridges.

Formal song selections looked like this:·

Christopher & Alexandria’s song – "Say YouWon’t Go" James Arthur

Father & Daughter song – "My Little Girl" Tim McGraw

Mother & Son song – "Days Like This" Van Morrison

First slow song of the night – "All of Me" by John Legend

Anniversary dance song - "Crazy Love” by Van Morrison

The dance music vibe was a mix of favorites, from "Unforgettable" by Thomas Rhett to ABBA classics and the 80s "Higher Love.” I snuck in a Harry Styles song early in the party too. Once I gained their guests' trust, I played some hip-hop and quite a few remixes. Hypnotize by the Notorious B.I.G. was a must-play per Alexandria! By 9:00 pm, I was in the higher BPM range and felt the guests were down for almost any music. I played a few classic EDM tracks like Avicii’s “Levels” and a new remix of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” that I’d been loving. (It’s a singalong song with a Baltimore Club feel) Somewhere during the night I helped arrange the "Hora." The night concluded with "Beautiful Crazy" by Luke Combs.

For those still in the mood to dance, an after-party awaited in Nevada City at the National Hotel or The Mineshaft. I’m not sure if it was officially decided when everyone was arranging travel.

Much love to Chris and Alexandria for having me as their DJ. Check out my event video on Instagram here - Chris and Alexandria Recap
